Reservation’s Coordinator

We’re looking for a Reservation’s Coordinator to join our team.

To be considered, you’ll have experience in hotel reservations using Opera, email systems as well as being a great communicator on the phone and face-to-face.
The role of the Reservations Coordinator is to maximise revenue for the hotel through the effective management of the reservations process and a pro-active approach to sales.
It is essential to have a positive, ‘can do’ attitude and a drive to excel, good listening skills to provide team and client-oriented service and to build relationships.

Main Responsibilities

·Utilise Opera software to its full potential through full working knowledge of the system

·To be completely knowledgeable about all the hotel facilities and services, and effectively communicate this to guests

·To develop knowledge of our competitors, market conditions and any other factors which may affect the business of the hotel

·Have full knowledge and understanding of hotel rates, promotions and offers

·Responsible for accurate recording and processing of reservations and maximisation of room sales

·Maximise revenue through strategic up-selling techniques and effective negotiation skills

·To provide effective and efficient communication to all departments in the hotel.

·Carry out any reasonable requests to ensure the smooth running of the reservations department and the hotel.

·Determined, resilient & well-organised approach to selling and client requirements

·To ensure that all amendments, late bookings and special requirements are communicated effectively.

·Actively work as part of the department team to achieve the department objectives.

·Support hotel team members wherever possible to achieve hotel objectives

·Ownership for all individual and group reservations from the initial enquiry to arrival at the hotel, ensuring effective communication across all departments.

·Ensure all calls are handled in an efficient and friendly manner in line with company standards.

·To be completely knowledgeable about all the hotel facilities and services, and effectively communicate this to guests.

·Assist the client with any special requests.

·Ensure that follow up of all contracts to confirmed bookings, ensuring the hotel and company standards are maintained.

·To ensure the effective and efficient running of the reservations department, through daily task lists and relevant correspondence checks.

·Ensure bookings are managed to maximise sales, occupancy and revenue.

·Be sales driven and committed to delivering excellent customer service, whilst striving to meet departmental and hotel targets.

·Wherever possible use your 6th sense and listening skills to surprise and delight our guests & teams
